In the age of social media, the flood of information is omnipresent. We are flooded with information every day because we are notified by every action in our social media networks, no matter how insignificant. With the LemonInfo App we aim exactly at this problem. Through our communication platform, irrelevant messages are literally eliminated, since information is only passed on to those who are affected by this information.
How does the App LemonInfo work?
The core essence of the app consists of the information channels. Each person can create any number of information channels, called ”channels”, which are intended for the respective topics and the corresponding group of people. Thus the creator of the channel is also the administrator and owner. Every user has the possibility to join and read the information released by the channel owner.
In addition to the QR code or the channel number, private channels are joined with a pass code: Simply scan the code into your smartphone, enter the pass code and become a member without registering. Public channels can be entered via smartphone location, public QR code, name or the corresponding channel number.
It is also possible to combine information channels into groups and have them managed by named admins. In principle, information for all clients within a channel is only provided by the admins and the persons appointed as authorised, the supervisors.
Clients can only send messages and files to the channel admins and maintainers. The channel owner himself decides which users are allowed to send the respective type of messages and files to the group. Unnecessary comments are thus avoided, only the desired information reaches the clients of the channel.
This system guarantees the user a spam-free group chat experience, in which relevance and punctual message exchange enjoy the highest priority.

Unlike conventional communication platforms, there is no registration form at LemonInfo. Instead, you join via your current location GPS, name, channel number or QR code. Registration and deregistration is therefore uncomplicated.

LemonInfo’s easy to use sorting option offers simple sorting of messages. In addition, there is an integrated function to give the messages an expiration date to ensure the automatic deletion of irrelevant information.

It is possible to send a message to users of a channel via date and time setting.
How do I register? How does the app deal with data protection?
The Basic Data Protection Regulation, which came into force in Europe in 2018, shows how important data protection is at a time when personal data is weighed against gold. Unlike conventional social media applications, LemonInfo only requires the app. Neither registration with an email address nor a telephone number is necessary. One joins channels exclusively via a channel number, a QR code or the current location. Each user of a channel decides for himself under which name he is displayed to the owner. No private information is requested, nor is there a profile picture function. From a data protection point of view, personal data is not collected and stored in the first place.
